ABOUT ME

Besides my main job as a nurse, ward and area manager, which I have practiced since 1995, yoga and teaching yoga have taken more and more place in my life.

In 2012, I therefore decided to give up this unbalanced, hectic and stressful everyday life, to dedicate myself to people in a different way and to start my own business as a freelance yoga teacher.

My personal path as a yoga teacher includes many stations and perspectives.

The goal I am consistently working towards is to become a Holistic Health Yoga Therapist.

With this personal focus I teach the styles of Vinyasa Krama, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, since 2010 as the first in Frankfurt, the styles of Yin Yoga and Prana Vinyasa Flow® since 2012.

I teach open classes in Frankfurt, private classes on request and in companies as Business Yoga (e.g. European Central Bank, the ING-DiBa Bank, DER Touristik, Freshfields, GCB etc.).

I lead my own Yin & Yang 210 hours Yoga Teacher Training, various wokshops, as a guest teacher in different yoga studios at their yoga trainings and yoga retreats.

Fascinated by yoga classes I wanted to deepen my knowledge of it and in 2009 I completed a 500 hour diploma from the American Yoga Alliance in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Vinyasa Krama at Balance Yoga with Timo Wahl.

I also completed over 1,340 hours and am a certified yoga teacher of the IHK.

After a basic training of almost two years, I have continuously attended trainings and further education courses in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Prana Vinyasa Flow® , Vinyasa Krama, Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Acro Yoga with both national and international teachers such as: Shiva Rea, Simon Park, David Regelin, Tobias Frank, John Scott, Ursula Cox, Akilesh Brahmchari, Clayton Horten, Kino Mc Gregor, Jeff Pheonix, Christine May, Joe Barnett, Sarah Powers, and many many more.

Inspired and impressed by the effects of the energetic body and alternative medicine, I also completed basic, advanced  teacher trainings in Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Yoga Massage as well as Flying Body Work Masseuse, and am involved in ongoing training here as well, both in Germany with my mentor Tobias Frank, and my teachers in Thailand.

The art and style of bodywork for me is individual and spontaneous.

Thai Yoga Massage for me means „individual and artful touch“.

Between the taking and the giving, the energy flows like in a mandala.

To pass on this art of touch, of the elements earth, water, fire and air in a Thai Yoga session is not only honorable, not only a gift, it is in my eyes vital.

It gives trust and the connection between two people, the connection of our nature.
It gives connection to yourself. It gives you confidence, steadfastness, love, warmth.

Thai Yoga Massage is a symbiosis of basic trust, a feeling of having done everything right.

I am also involved as a Yoga Alliance Experienced Yogateacher E-RYT 200 in yoga teacher trainings in the areas of anatomy/physiology, pathology, introduction to yoga therapy and yin yoga, didactics and Vinyasa yoga.

Fascinated by the powerful, energetic, flowing movement sequences and the philosophy of Prana Vinyasa Flow®, I decided in 2011 to begin further training as a Prana Vinyasa Flow® Teacher according to Shiva Rea, which I also teach today.

In 2014, I was honored to be appointed as the first Lululemon Athletica Ambassador at the Lululemon Showroom Frankfurt and further in 2016, to be chosen as Legacy Brand Ambassador.

I also have the honor of being a Brand Ambassador for the company KARMALOVE.

„Love, because love is a natural gift from our heart!

Connecting your heart, mind and soul creates harmony so you can love yourself and give that peace to everyone!

Love begins in YOU!“ Samantha Adams/ Sammy-Yoga

My holistic yoga philosophy:

– dynamic, powerful yet gentle, funny yet serious –

I place a lot of emphasis not only on the accuracy of body alignment (adjustments), but also on being mindful, aware, and using correct breathing to get into the pose (asanas).

„Test one’s limits, go beyond them, hold on to the breath, enjoy the stillness of the mind and feel the positive qualities of your YOGA. Always have a smile on your lips and in your heart.“
