Tulane over UAB in October 2002

The Tulane Green Wave (3-1) seem to be heading back in the right direction following a big victory over Nicholls State this past weekend, which was their second in a row. Meanwhile, Alabama-Birmingham (1-3) had a great showing against No. 1 Georgia in losing 49-21, but it ended up as their third straight defeat after a season-opening win vs. North Carolina A&T.

What will happen at Yulman Stadium on Saturday morning in just the 11th meeting all time between the two schools? We can’t necessarily answer that just yet, but we can give you the lines, odds, TV information and the series history between the two schools:

Last week: Tulane defeated Nicholls State, 36-7; UAB lost to No. 1 Georgia, 49-21.

Series record: This will be the 11th meeting between the two schools, and UAB leads the series, 6-4. The Blazers have won the past two games in the series, including 28-21 two seasons ago in New Orleans. Tulane won four out of six meetings from 2002 to 2012.

The first game between the two schools came Nov. 20, 1999, and UAB won 23-20 in overtime in the Superdome.
